The full size Zilla Tool performs as advertized and is actually of excellent quality! It carries two standard bits, which no other multi tool does. It has a cool flipper knife that opens fast as lightning and the spring loaded pliers are ready to rock at the flip of the ambidextrous button (there is a release button on both sides of the tool). The tool is built like a tank and near impossible to break due to is its one piece construction, unlike most multi tools which are multi piece units. The pocket carry clip makes it very nice to have ready to use at moments notice. It also comes with a sheath if you prefer to use a sheath. This is not a delicate tool, just like the name says so don't expect it to be light as a feather at 7.4 ounces.
I have tested this tool rigorously and found it to be a beast. The blade is very sharp and deploys via flipper... what other multi tool can do that? The pliers have extra large teeth in the grip and can be used to turn nuts better than most pliers. The bit driver is strong enough to bend 1/4 inch bits and not break... so no worries there. The solid black Zilla Tool is more tactical looking of the two if that is your preference and the coating holds up incredibly well and resists scratching.

Really like CRKT but this isn't what I'd hoped for. Plier is weak but the blade is good and just a bit too big on the belt to be comfortable...

Avoid this product. Avoid this manufacturer. I received my 1st bad ZillaTool in mid-October. The logo stamp in the Zytel scale was blurred and the wire cutting jaws didn't meet. I paid postage for a warranty return. I received my 1st Zilla-Tool warranty replacement 7 weeks later. The back of the blade wasn't ground to properly engage the split liner lock. I fired back a nastigram to the QA folks at CRKT requesting assurance of a good product before spending more postage for a 2nd return. On the phone, CRKT Operations Manager Patrick Gottsch told me to keep the 2nd defective Zilla-Tool and assured me he would send a quality replacement. I received a 3rd defective Zilla-Tool on 12/10/2007. One side of the cutting jaws has a broken edge. The collectible rating of NIB has a new low.
